The date of 24thJuly shall forever remain a dark day in our hearts and in the history of South Sudan music industry due to the untimely death of our beloved artist Mantani real names “Alex Murye” which occurred after sustaining gruesome injuries in a motor bike accident in Moyo, Uganda according to a statement released by his Record Label Hard Life Avenue. Mantani was briefly attended to at Moyo Hospital before he was transferred to Lacor Regional Referral Hospital in Gulu, Uganda from where he was later transferred to Kampala for a better treatment including the demand for a CT scan from where he unfortunately passed.
Losing a hardworking talented figure of the youth and the music industry of the Republic of South Sudan is a painful situation we can never measure, Earlier in the year we lost Trisha Cee another talented figure of our industry which until today her death hurt us with no remorse. Mantani’s death to us is another painful death we have had to face. He was a so real, hardworking and carried the flag of our industry with pride across borders, forever such a figure is irreplaceable but God gives and takes we shall stand with a broken heart in solidarity and pray for his precious soul to rest in eternal peace.
