Is Jose Chameleone a musical bad luck?
When Slate Nation announced the successful video shoot for one of his song featuring East Africa’s Legendary artist Jose Chameleone a lot of concerns surfaced from a couple of Slate Nation’s followers who came out and called Jose Chameleone a musical bad luck. While commenting on his Facebook post one follower whose name withheld commented and I quote “But why don’t you ask your fans before collaborating with Jose, that guy is a bad luck” and another one commented with a question to Slate Nation where he said “Did you ask what happened to A Boy after his collaboration with Jose Chameleone?” so many of the comments all target towards the believe that collaboration with Jose Chameleone is a bad luck to most upcoming artists from South Sudan.
Back in the days many South Sudanese artists have had collaboration with the Legend Jose Chameleone and the songs have worked incredibly well for these artists however they most times face challenges staying relevant afterwards for reasons which we can not explain but if we can reflect back to artists like WJ De King and Mr. Lengs who did songs with Jose Chameleone they are still relevant up to date although not catching perfectly well with the current trends of events.
Now one thing I would also like to emphasis is that Jose Chameleone has several collaborating with artists from his home country of Uganda such as Radio & Weasel, Pallaso, Bebe Cool etc. but no such believe surface so my question is, is the bad luck only for South Sudanese artists? We have to remember Jose Chameleone had a collaboration with Davido in 2012 song titled “All Di Galz” which never affected the music progress of Davido up to date, look at Patoranking no such thing like bad luck after doing a song titled “Only you” with Jose Chameleone.
Should we say our artists always mistake working with Jose Chameleone as 100% success in their musical journey whether they keep working hard or not? Or its just that Jose Chameleone is musical bad luck? Share your opinion in the comment section and do follow me on my Facebook Page as Sebit Jeremiah for a lot more.
