SAMSE SAM BIOGRAPHY
Samuel Sebit Emmanuel, known by his stage name “Samse Sam” was born in South Sudan’s Capital Juba. He is an Inspirational and Influential Singer & Songwriter and a co-founder at the Talent211 Entertainment. He holds a certificate and Diploma in Public Administration and Management from St. Lawrence University and currently pursues a BA in Democracy and Development Studies at Uganda Martyrs University.
Samse’s music career was inspired by his mother who first introduced him to singing in the church and her passing during the civil war drove him to pursue singing to commemorate her memory. Samse believes that music can be a tool for “Peace and Communication between divided communities”.
He sings Afro-beats, Afro-Pop, Zouk, RnB & Soul. He is an Instrumentalist and plays both Piano and the African “Adungu”. Samse’ music has been played on radio stations since 2013 in the county’s top leading radio stations. He has performed in front of thousands of people in South Sudan and Uganda most notably his “Music for Unity” events that happen annually on International Peace Day for successive two years from 2017 till now.
In 2018, Samse Sam under his Label the Talent 211 entertainment partnered with Platform Africa a refugee and youth-led organization in Rhino Camp settlement with support from #DefyhateNow staged the biggest Peace Jam concert in the world on the International Peace Day that took place on 21st September 2018 that attracted thousands of people in #Luruja Ofua Zone.
Remarkably he wrote the best-selling Peace song #Kifaya which literally translates to #Enough to magnify the voices of the South Sudanese musicians as peacebuilders in diaspora and back home calling for an end to the ongoing war in the country, to strengthen and embrace unity in diversity.
These lyrics encourage peace and reconciliation among the divided and grieved South Sudanese communities and all those who lost their families, relatives and properties to pardon each other, unite and work together to develop South Sudan.
Nominations
Samse Sam first nomination was for the Afro Shine Awards Australia in 2016 which he later withdraw from the awards due to personal reasons. His second nomination was for the South Sudan Stars Music Awards #SSUSA in 2017 in the “New Artist of the year category. Samse’s 3rd nomination was in 2018 for the Afrimusic Song Contest a continental competition for singers and songwriter in Africa where he represented South Sudan and got position 16 th in the contest with the song Party Time.

Samse was echoed by Juba Eye a leading South Sudan entertainment Blog as one of the most Influential South Sudanese musicians in 2018/2019 Music Albums Samse’s first album titled “Equal Opportunity” a song that rocks the airwaves in the county up to date because of its powerful educative messages.it has songs like Arakat Karabu, Mara Taki, Equal Opportunity, Gelba De, Part of Your time, Juliet, Defender, Zawaja Suker, and Sibu takun mashakil. In September 2018, Samse released his single “Follow Me” a sensational love lyrics that appreciates the beauty of black African women and #Kifaya an All-stars he wrote and sung with fellow musicians, and both songs have been topping music charts on various radio stations in the country up to date.
